Imperative dreaming: white identity and healthy solidarity
February 26, 2021 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
For the last several months, CWC has been hosting virtual community conversations exploring Black/Indigenous solidarity.
As we prepare to transition into a new series of community conversations AND launch the Dive-In-Justice Podcast, we wanted to mark this occasion by inviting back Shadiin Garcia, to join Delma Jackson (co-hosts of the new podcast), Ginny McGinn and Kristin Rothballer, in an exploration of whiteness, white supremacy, and white allyship.
In light of Black History Month, our series on Black/Indigenous solidarity, and the recent attempt at political insurrection, white identity politics has rarely been rendered more visible. 2021 could be a unique year of accountability and healing, or, without a clear vision forward, usher in years of progressive complacency and more radicalized white violence.
Click on the button below to join us Friday, February 26th at 12pmPT/3pmET in this timely and important exploration of white identity, healthy solidarity, and imperative dreaming.
